Whether you're a student taking class notes or a professional working on your resume, there are occasions when having a printed version of your Notion notes or resume proves handy. Printing your Notion content is quick and easy, taking less than a minute.
A hard copy of your content can serve as a useful backup in case your computer malfunctions or you find yourself unexpectedly offline. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to print Notion pages. While Notion doesn't have a built-in print function, we'll show you two straightforward ways to accomplish this.
Let's dive in.
Method 1 - Printing a Notion Page via PDF Export:
Given that Notion doesn't provide a direct printing option, we'll initiate the process by converting the page into a format which facilitates seamless printing. PDF, among the various export formats in Notion, is particularly well-suited for printing.
In this approach, our first step involves exporting the Notion page as a PDF, followed by the printing process.
1. Navigate to Export Options
Once you're on the Notion page you intend to print, locate and click on the ellipsis icon ("...") positioned at the top-right corner of your screen, as illustrated in the image below.
This action will open a menu offering various page-related functionalities. Proceed to click on the "Export" option from the provided list.
This selection prompts Notion to present a new screen where you can specify details before proceeding with the page export. Let’s explore that in the next segment.
2. Select the “PDF” option and click on the “Export” option
2. Choose PDF Format and Initiate Export: Upon reaching the Notion export screen, you can customize the page appearance during export. This includes options to include or exclude images, set a specific page format, and additional features available for users subscribed to the Pro pricing plan of Notion.
For the purpose of printing your Notion page, opt for the "PDF" format as your export choice. Next, click on the "Export" button.
Following this, designate the preferred location to save the exported page on your local drive.
3. Access the PDF and click on the “Print” icon
Open the exported PDF file and click on the “Print” icon, as highlighted in the image below.
4. Choose Printer Settings and click on “Print”
Review the print preview of the PDF, pick your preferred printer, adjust any other settings as needed, and then click on the “Print” button.
This is the final step, your printer should successfully print the Notion page.
Method 2 - Print the Notion page directly through the browser
The earlier method sometimes leads to text misalignment. Check the preview image from the last step. You might observe that what should be Notion columns appear as stacked rows.
An alternative approach exists, allowing you to maintain formatting without the need to export your Notion page as a PDF file.
1. Click on the “File” option from the menu bar and then the print option
2. Confirm Printer Settings and click on “Print”
Ensure the alignment of the Notion page remains consistent, as shown in the preview screenshot below.
Finally, choose the printer for the job and click on “Print” to get the hard copy of your Notion page.
